The Lown Institute, a nonpartisan health care think tank, recently released a set of rankings that examines the racial inclusivity of more than 3,200 hospitals across the United States to assess their success at serving people of color in their communities. Temple University Hospital was ranked the most racially inclusive hospital in Pennsylvania and the 13th most racially inclusive hospital in the United States. WHYY spoke with Tony S. Reed, MD, MBA, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Temple University Health System and Temple University Hospital, about the recognition.
