For the third straight year, Jeanes Hospital has received the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award.
The Patient Safety Excellence Award recognizes hospitals that have the lowest occurrences of 13 preventable patient safety events. These hospitals are in the top 10 percent in the nation for patient safety.

Healthgrades evaluated 3,489 hospitals that submitted at least 100 patient experience surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), covering admissions from April 2015 to March 2016 in order to identify hospital performance in this area. Patient safety refers to how effective a hospital is at protecting patients from preventable injuries, infections, and other serious complications.
