Latasha McQueen, an Escort Attendant in Patient Transportation, received TUH-Main Campus’ Service Excellence Employee of the Month Award for June 2024. McQueen was recognized for her friendliness, positive attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile. Read this excerpt from her nomination, which highlights the lasting impact she has on patients and their families:
“A patient’s brother who came to visit had a wonderful experience at Temple. He mentioned that Latasha provided excellent service to his sister during her time here. He said, ‘Latasha was fantastic, friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond the call of duty. She generously offered advice whenever it was needed.’ The patient said that Latasha’s customer service skills should be recognized by her superiors, and that she should be honored as an Employee of the Month. He ended his praise by saying that the world needs more people like her, especially in the world of health and patient care.”
The Service Excellence Award is given out monthly at TUH-Main Campus. The award is an opportunity to identify, recognize, and reward employees who embody our service excellence standards. Recipients are selected by the Patient Experience voting committee based on nominations from patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, coworkers, and staff. Honorees are presented with a certificate and gift, free parking for a month, and a complimentary professional headshot placed in a plaque on the Service Excellence Awards wall.
