Temple Health is opening its first Obstetrics/Gynecology outpatient practice on its new Women & Families campus at 1331 East Wyoming Avenue on Monday, April 3rd. Seven of Temple Health’s OB/GYN physicians and their highly-trained staff members at this practice will provide outpatient gynecologic and obstetrical care at Temple’s new campus to patients in all phases of their lives, from the teenage years through parenthood and beyond.
They will also offer a wide range of outpatient surgical procedures, many of which will be performed using the latest minimally-invasive techniques. Their presence at the Women & Families campus will make these services more accessible to our community, and allow patients to receive treatment in a newly-renovated, state-of-the-art office environment.
This environment will also include a range of on-site radiology services that Temple University Hospital plans to offer at the Women & Families campus, from ultrasound to X-ray, MRI, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine, pending Department of Health (DOH) approval. Temple Health will announce the opening date for these imaging services after the DOH survey process, which will begin in mid-April.
“Temple’s decision to open a new Women & Families campus was inspired by our commitment to advancing our mission to expand patient and community access to high-quality maternal health services for a historically at-risk population nationwide,” said Michael A. Young, MHA, FACHE, President & CEO of Temple Health. “The opening of the first outpatient practice on the new campus is a critical step towards this investment in the wellbeing of our communities, and in the continued growth and stability of our Health System. We are privileged to be able to serve our patients with such talented clinical teams and we look forward to Temple Women & Families campus becoming a bedrock of quality care for the community for years to come.”
