The Temple Heart & Vascular Institute is a national leader in caring for patients with all forms of
pulmonary hypertension. It makes sense, then, that we would bring our expertise to CHEST
2024: the top annual conference in clinical pulmonary and critical care and sleep medicine.

This year’s CHEST conference was held in Boston in early October, and was attended by Paul
Forfia, MD and Anjali Vaidya, MD, FACC, FASE, FACP, Co-Directors of Temple’s Pulmonary
Hypertension Program. Drs. Vaidya and Forfia played a critical role in pulmonary hypertension
panel discussions and presentations on pulmonary arterial hypertension, critical care,
pulmonary embolism, echocardiography, and sleep-disordered breathing.

“Participation in major national conferences like CHEST provides a forum for leaders in the field
of pulmonary hypertension, like me and Dr. Vaidya, to educate other healthcare providers,” says
Dr. Forfia. “National meetings like CHEST provide a forum for the dissemination of important
insights and information that help advance our field, and let us share the perspectives we have
gained through many years of research and clinical care.”

“The physicians in Temple Cardiology have been leaders in the field of pulmonary hypertension
for nearly 20 years,” Dr. Vaidya adds. “The breadth and volume of patients we treat from across
the region, surrounding states, and the country has given us a unique level of expertise.”

As a Pulmonary Hypertension Association Center of Comprehensive Care, the Temple Heart &
Vascular Institute is committed to effectively diagnosing and treating patients with these
complex conditions, and moving the field of pulmonary hypertension forward.

“Temple Cardiology’s advances in scholarly work, research publications, and educational
initiatives within our medical school, residency, and fellowships are leading the way nationally in
all forms of pulmonary hypertension,” Dr. Vaidya explains.
