Temple University Hospital (TUH) has officially closed on the acquisition of the land, buildings, equipment, and supplies of the current CTCA Philadelphia campus located in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia.
“This opens a significant and historic new chapter in our Health System’s history—one which speaks to our improving clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, positive financial performance, and long-term strength of our organization,” said Michael A. Young, MHA, FACHE, President and CEO of Temple University Health System and Temple University Hospital.
A group of key Temple Health stakeholders has been working since March to determine the appropriate mix of healthcare specialties for TUH’s newest location to best expand access to Temple’s outstanding academic medical services. The location also provides administrative space to replace the Temple Administrative Services Building (TASB), which will be the first step in development of this new campus.
“We will have updates on these exciting developments in the near future,” added Young.
