Temple University Hospital’s Radiation Oncology Department has been awarded a three-year Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR). This marks the department’s third successful survey.
The ACR’s survey team, which includes board-certified radiation oncologists and medical physicists, reviewed the department’s patient care and treatment, patient safety, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs.
“Dr. Curtis Miyamoto, Professor and Chair of Radiation Oncology and Associate Director for Clinical Services of Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital; Roxana Taveira, Associate Vice President of Oncology Services; and the entire Radiation Oncology team are committed to providing high-quality, exceptional care to our patients every day,” said Michael A. Young, MHA, FACHE, President and CEO of Temple University Health System and Temple University Hospital. “Their dedication is reflected in this successful survey and accreditation.”
