Temple earned ‘A’ grades in health equity, value of care and patient outcomes

Temple University Hospital – Main Campus has been ranked as one of the most socially responsible hospitals in the nation by the Lown Institute, receiving ‘A’ grades in Health Equity, Value of Care and Patient Outcomes on the 2024-25 Lown Institute Hospitals Index. Out of more than 3,500 hospitals measured by the Lown Institute – a nonpartisan healthcare think-tank – on the basis of health equity, value of care and patient outcome metrics, only 5% achieved honor roll status, with Temple University Hospital (TUH) – Main Campus ranking among this select group of high performers.

TUH-Main Campus ranked in the top 50 and the top 2% out of more than 2,700 acute care hospitals nationally for social responsibility and in the top 10 in Pennsylvania. TUH-Main Campus also earned ‘A’ grades for Community Benefit, Inclusivity, Clinical Outcomes, Patient Safety, Avoiding Overuse and Cost Efficiency.
