Temple University Hospital (TUH) – Main Campus has earned its 8th Safety Grade ‘A’ from Leapfrog since 2020, in the Fall 2024 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade Report. TUH-Jeanes Campus also earned a Safety Grade of ‘A’ in the report.
“These ‘A’ grades belong to the entire Temple University Hospital team,” said Abhi Rastogi, MBA, MIS, President and CEO of Temple University Hospital and Executive Vice President of Temple University Health System. “It is their work that make TUH Main and Jeanes campuses among the safest hospitals in the nation, and Leapfrog’s Fall 2024 scorecards signifies this outstanding distinction.”
Leapfrog is a quality watchdog organization which uses nationally recognized safety metrics for its analysis. Achieving a Safety Grade of ‘A’ certifies the effectiveness of your efforts to protect patients from infections, prevent errors, deliver dependable care, and achieve high standards of patient safety.
Leapfrog urges consumers to consider this kind of high performance when choosing their hospital. Their Safety Grade is the gold standard measure of patient safety, cited in MSNBC, The New York Times, and AARP The Magazine.
“No matter what role our team members play or what work they do, they are all part of achieving this recognition thanks to their continual focus on safety and dedication to providing truly high-quality care to our patients and our community,” added Rastogi.
