Temple University Hospital (TUH) has earned its 6th consecutive Safety Grade ‘A’ from Leapfrog in the spring 2023 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade Report. Leapfrog is a quality watchdog organization that uses nationally recognized safety metrics for its analysis. Leapfrog urges consumers to consider this kind of high performance when choosing their hospital.

“It is truly an outstanding achievement to be recognized among the safest hospitals in the U.S. six times in a row and it’s a testament to the talent of the entire team at Temple University Hospital,” said Abhinav Rastogi, MBA, MIS, President and CEO of TUH. “This recognition once again affirms our team’s achievements and sustained commitment to delivering dependable care, preventing errors and achieving high standards of patient safety.”

Leapfrog assigned to TUH a Safety Grade of ‘A’ on its spring 2023, fall 2022, spring 2022, fall 2021, spring 2021, and fall 2020 Hospital Safety Grade reports for protecting patients from infections, injuries, accidents and preventable errors.

Leapfrog uses more than 30 national performance measures and is advised by an expert panel of leading patient safety authorities from across the country. Their Safety Grade is the gold standard measure of patient safety, cited in MSNBC, The New York Times, and AARP The Magazine.
