Personal Statement
The encounter with a plastic surgeon often happens at some of the most difficult times in patients' lives, whether it be a cancer diagnosis, traumatic injury, or birth deformity. The process of plastic surgery involves not only rebuilding the body, but also restoring the essence of what makes you the person you are and how you interact with society.
I take a personal approach to each patient and will carefully listen to your concerns and goals before we agree on a treatment plan. I enjoy teaching and research, as these are the primary methods of advancing the field of plastic surgery.
"We restore, rebuild, and make whole those parts which nature hath given, but which fortune has taken away. Not so much that it may delight the eye, but that it might buoy up the spirit, and help the mind of the afflicted." - Gaspare Tagliacozzi, early pioneer of plastic surgery
