About
Dr. Mansour is a double fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in head, neck, and reconstructive surgery. His first fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center focused on a multidisciplinary and personalized approach to complex head and neck cancers. His second fellowship at LSU Health centered on reconstruction techniques, including microvascular reconstruction, to restore function and improve the quality of life for head and neck cancer patients.
Dr. Mansour treats a wide range of benign and malignant head and neck tumors, with a particular focus on complex oral cavity, throat, skin cancers, melanoma, and salivary gland cancers. He also addresses various endocrine disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid glands. Dr. Mansour has developed a special interest in 3D bioprinting and 3D-aided reconstruction to achieve the best possible aesthetics and functionality for his patients. He is committed to providing treatments that minimize morbidity, utilizing bio-engineered tissue replacements and partial throat surgeries when appropriate, to preserve function and reduce discomfort.
Dr. Mansour employs a multidisciplinary approach to treat a broad spectrum of head and neck cancers, believing that each patient is unique and that there is no one-size-fits-all treatment. In his view, cancer treatment must be personalized to fit the beliefs and wishes of the patient and their family.
His research interests focus on improving clinical outcomes and the quality of life for head and neck cancer patients, helping them return to normal, productive lives as quickly as possible. Dr. Mansour is also deeply committed to educating the next generation of physicians and surgeons.
