Your gift to this fund allows THVI to direct the funds to the area of greatest need and opportunity.
THVI boasts a world class collection of cardiovascular surgeons, whose expert interventions help save the lives or improve the outcomes for thousands of patients every year, with as minimally invasive an approach as possible. Gifts to the Cardiovascular Surgery, Research, Education and Patient Care Fund specifically allow us to expand our cardiovascular surgical capabilities, helping purchase the most leading-edge equipment, learn the most innovative techniques, expertly train new surgeons, and generate new knowledge about best approaches.
Heart disease remains the number one cause of mortality in the United States and throughout the industrialized world, and with the aging population the demand for cardiology services is continuously increasing. That makes training then next generation of cardiologists absolutely vital. The Louis A. Soloff Fund in Cardiology directly supports those efforts by supporting our cardiology fellows in their educations and research, ultimately to the benefit of our patients – and all patient.
Vascular surgery is a highly complicated specialty, but one that can have a profound impact on the lives of patients. The Vascular Surgery Research, Education and Patient Care Fund helps develop and improve our capabilities in the diagnosis and treatment of aneurysms, hardened or blocked arteries, blood clots, varicose veins and compromised blood flow to the brain, intestines and kidneys.
