- Development of noninvasive tests to measure gastric emptying and gastric accommodation after ingestion of a solid meal.
- New pharmaceutical treatments for gastroparesis and functional dyspepsia
- Use of impedance during esophageal manometry and esophageal pH monitoring to assess transit and reflux

My approach to patient care includes obtaining a careful patient history of the symptoms, obtaining carefully selected tests to evaluate the patient's symptoms, reviewing the results of the tests with the patient and deciding on the appropriate treatment for the symptoms and disorder together.
