Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Health Insurance Marketplace

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) was enacted to help the millions of uninsured and underinsured Americans obtain health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The Marketplace provides health insurance options as well as coverage enrollment for individuals, families, and small businesses.

Marketplace Open Enrollment for 2023 Opens November 1, 2022

Individuals may also qualify for Special Enrollment Periods outside of Open Enrollment if they experience certain events. (See Special Enrollment Period and Qualifying Life Event)

Temple University Health System has been designated as an official CMS Certified Application Counselor (CAC) Organization and we have trained knowledgeable staff able to assist you in choosing a plan that is right for you.
