Preparing for Your Treatment at Temple Health

To help international patients navigate the American healthcare system, the Temple Health Office of International Medicine works to provide the support and resources needed for a positive experience, including coordinating appointments and transferring medical records, providing options for hotel accommodations, and information about visas.

Medical interpretation services for international patients who require language assistance are offered through Temple Health’s Linguistic and Cultural Services Department. At all times, care is delivered in a respectful, culturally sensitive environment.

  • Self-pay: 100% of the deposit is required prior to confirming your appointment
  • Insurance: Temple Health is contracted with many international insurance companies
  • Embassy-sponsored: Temple will work with embassy liaisons to ensure Temple University Hospital receives a letter of guarantee from the embassy prior to confirming your appointment

Medical Interpreter Services

Temple Health provides interpreter services for patients who do not speak English. Ensuring that patients receive care in their preferred language helps us to deliver the best possible outcomes for their medical care.

All linguistic services at Temple Health are provided by an approved third party that has been reviewed and vetted by our Linguistic and Cultural Services Department at no additional cost to the patient. Temple Health will work with you to secure medical interpreters for your inpatient stay and outpatient appointments.
