Our faculty members consult and work regularly with colleagues in other Temple centers, at other universities and with outside industry. Where lines of research intersect, we have also created shared resources—technology cores, service centers, administrative support and community outreach teams—that eliminate duplication and build research quality and efficiency.
Temple Health is well positioned to contribute to today’s focus on translational research. Temple’s Center for Translational Medicine (CTM) is a research organization committed to enhancing the movement of basic scientific discoveries and improving the care and treatment of patients. It is comprised of basic and clinical scientists committed to the discovery of novel targets to combat disease and working with other internal entities to enhance their utilization and testing in humans. CTM investigators operate as a multidisciplinary and collaborative team to combat disease from basic, translational and clinical perspectives.
