Burn Care Services

The Temple Burn Center medical team knows there are no “minor burns,” only varying levels of severity. Some burns require hospitalization and months of intensive care. Others can be managed on an outpatient basis. Many require the specialty services offered at a burn center.

Services offered by the Temple Burn Center include:

• Operative management of burns
• Reconstructive plastic surgery
• Pain management
• Physical, occupational and respiratory therapy

• Management of smaller burns (scalding, sunburn)
• Scar management
• Care for problematic wounds and burns
• Physical and occupational therapy
• Monthly burn survivor support group
• Return-to-work program
• Psychological support

Most burns require immediate medical attention. If you have experienced a burn that requires urgent medical attention, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
