The Temple Health hematology team includes board-certified hematologists who specialize in the most advanced treatment options for a wide range of blood and bone marrow conditions. Many hematology faculty members have been named among America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly.
The hematology team works closely with other physicians at Temple and Fox Chase Cancer Center to diagnose and treat patients with malignant blood cancers, like leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Our hematologists have expertise in treating coagulation disorders associated with cancer, including solid tumors.
Our physicians also have extensive experience in transplant hematology and frequently care for patients who develop blood disorders related to suppression of their immune system.
Temple Health offers bloodless medicine procedures for patients who do not wish to receive blood products or undergo blood transfusions, such as Jehovah’s Witness patients. Many of our hematologists are part of the comprehensive team that works to minimize bleeding during surgery.
